Events Leading Up To Halloween ComicFest

This weekend will bring Halloween ComicFest to a comic book shop near you. It’s an event that is sponsored by comicshoplocator.com with support from publishers and creators alike to use any opportunity to bring comics to kids! If you know of an event but don’t see it listed below, feel free to let us know In the comments below!HalloweenComicFest2013wdate

Boomerang Comics (Lewisville) Saturday October 26, 2013

  • Last year's Halloween fell on a Wednesday, but this year the comic industry has chosen this weekend for this year's Halloween ComicFest 2013! Like Free Comic Book Day in the Spring, Halloween ComicFest gives everybody an excuse to check out their local comic book shops, get some free comics (while supplies last), show everyone your super cool costumes, and enjoy some Halloween crafts!
  • Join us this Saturday for our annual Halloween Costume Contest and kids can enjoy face painting and decorating pumpkins! We will be handing out comics out all day, but the face painting and crafts will be from 10-3pm.

Collected (Hurst) (TCU)(Plano) Saturday October 26, 2013

  • Collected is a great destination for the latest Halloween and horror pop-culture products and merchandise: from comics and graphic novels to costumes, toys and more! Plus, each shop has great Halloween events planned, so make sure you find your closest destination and come in and see what haunts Collected: Your Pop Culture Headquarters.

Titan Comics (Dallas) Wednesday October 21, 2013

  • David Petersen of Mouse Guard fame will be here in the store from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday. Signing stuff and chatting with fans, come on by!

Zeus Comics (Dallas) Wednesday October 21, 2013

  • Meet Ken Lowery (FakeAPstylebook, Write More Good, The Variants) and Robert Wilson(Knuckleheads) this Wednesday at Zeus from 11-7pm!

Ken and Robert will be signing copies of their new book Like a Virus!

Like A Virus is a one-shot story about one supernaturally gifted person investigating -- and confronting -- a longtime haunting in her neighborhood. It's also about the guilt and fear that can anchor a soul down, and how those thoughts can spread and contaminate not just you, but the people around you.
