A small group greeted Kim Stanley Robinson Wednesday night at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Park location. He read four passages from his new book SHAMAN which tells the story of a Shaman-in-training and his coming of age during the Ice Age. I asked him why the reverse in direction as to a time period and Robinson said that to look forward we have to look back especially when looking at ourselves. I’m really looking forward to reading this and if any of you do or have already, feel free to let me know what you think.
