Getting Ready for Halloween!

It's that time of the year when the weather cools down (slightly) and the leaves start to turn golden brown (unless they were that way from the heat already). This can only mean that Halloween is close at hand. It also means that Halloween ComicFest is almost here. The date is October 29, 2016 and we are lining up some fun. When you do, you can combine them to form ABC-Dragon Buster, a mechanized war machine that can banish any card on the field during either player's turn!


Duelists are rewarded for using the original XYZ-Dragon Cannon, also available in this Structure Deck, alongside the new ABC-Dragon Buster with the option to combine the two into A-to-Z Dragon Buster Cannon - a 4000 ATK monster that can attack, and then immediately split back up into its component parts to attack two more times!
Each Structure Deck comes with a 40-card Main Deck and a 5-card Extra Deck for a total of 45 cards (40 Commons, 3 Super Rares, 2 Ultra Rares).

During the week days, especially during the summer, we have plenty of table space for all types of events. The question is, what type of events are you looking for? I know that not all are free from jobs or school during the day, and a majority of you have kids to take care of during the daytime hours, so who is looking for events during the hours of 11am and 5pm? We are able to do gaming events such as Magic & Heroclix to art and crafting events. Do you have any suggestions?

Cryptocracy from Dark Horse Comics

For time beyond memory, the Nine Families watched from the shadows, believing themselves shepherds and manipulating whole societies as they saw fit. Nothing happened that they didn't observe or control. Outsiders knew naught of the Families, much less threatened them. Until now.

I got to read an advance copy of this and if you like things like the New World Order, the Illuminati, the Greys, and other X-Files type topics, then you'll like this comic. Interesting story, art and color are cool, and with the subject matter I'm looking to read the next issues. This is set to release 6/29, so be sure and get this on your pull list so you don't miss out.

James' Picks: 4 Kids Walk Into A Bank

This is a nice little read in five parts that tells the story of a young girl trying to protect her dad with the help of her friends. The group reminds me of me and my friends when I was young. You have the muscle, the smart one, the jerk, etc., but we all were friends who would (hopefully) take a bullet for each other. 

A FUN CRIME CAPER ABOUT CHILDREN!

11 year old Paige and her weirdo friends have a problem: a gang of ex-cons need her dad’s help on a heist… the problem is those ex-cons are morons. If Paige wants to keep her dad out of trouble, she’s going to have to pull off the heist herself. Like Wes Anderson remaking RESERVOIR DOGS, 4KWIAB is a very dark & moderately humorous story about friendship, growing up, d & d, puking, skinheads, grand larceny, & family. As told by TYLER BOSS (Lazarus, Vice.com) &MATTHEW ROSENBERG (We Can Never Go Home, S.H.I.E.L.D.: Quake).

I like the artwork which lends to the tone of the story. The story does have some profane language, so is definitely for mature readers. For the most part, I think people will like this if they liked Paper Girls. We still have copies available, so come grab one while they last.
