On Saturday, October 31, 2015, A Galaxy Called Dallas on 1238 Belt Line Rd. #365 will host HALLOWEEN COMICFEST AT A GALAXY CALLED DALLAS in conjunction with Halloween ComicFest 2015, a celebration of comic shops as a great destination for Halloween activities and products from comics and graphic novels to costumes, toys and more!
HALLOWEEN COMICFEST AT A GALAXY CALLED DALLAS will take place at A Galaxy Called Dallas from 1-4pm, and will include:

Guests will be able to choose five single titles from over twenty-one offered and have a chance at winning door prizes. Local artists will be on-hand and assorted ghouls and nasties roaming the aisles for your entertainment.

DFW Brain Tumor Walk 2015

To my Geek family I'd like to ask if you can help. We are less than a month away from the yearly DFW Brain Tumor Walk and we are attempting to raise money for brain tumor research through the National Brain Tumor Society. I lost my beautiful wife to a brain tumor 3 years ago and wish that no one has to go through what I, my daughter, and our family have had to go through. In her honor, would you consider donating or passing this message on to those that might be in a better position to help. Even a dollar helps the cause.

We’ve raised $100 so far with a raffle that we held on Star Wars Reads Day and will have a collection box out at the counter for those that want to donate face to face. If you’re interested in walking with us, feel free to ask me how and we’ll get you set up.

Star Wars Reads Day at A Galaxy Called Dallas

This will be the fourth year that Star Wars Reads Day has brought together readers, non-readers and the Star Wars Universe. 2,500 events have been scheduled this year which is a 25% over last year. Celebrations are being held at libraries, schools, and stores like ours here at A Galaxy Called Dallas. We will have lots of specials on Star Wars books & comics and other merchandise, as well as, coloring pages for the kids, and we may even play a Star Wars game or two. If you show up in a Star Wars costume, you’ll get a $5 store credit towards your purchases and we’ll be raffling off a few prizes with the proceeds going to the National Brain Tumor Society. All of the fun starts Saturday at 11am when we open the doors and doesn’t stop until 10pm that night.
