Welcome to A Galaxy Called Dallas!

For 10 years A Galaxy Called Dallas has had a presence in the DFW area and specifically in the Garland area these last four years.

Begun in 2009 as a hobby blog, it eventually morphed into A Galaxy Called Dallas Comics located north of Downtown Garland, but has now closed.

We now return to our roots as a blog about the Geek Community in DFW but especially in the areas around Garland.

ConDFW XII in Addison This Weekend

ConDFW is in full swing at the Crowne Plaza Dallas/Galleria this weekend. Officially kicking off on Friday, but not having a full day of programming until Saturday, it is a bridge between science and fiction.
ConDFW is a literary science fiction and fantasy convention featuring programming focused on writing and publishing, science programming, excellent guests, art show, charity book swap, short story contest, and a slew of non-traditional activities such as the Sci-Fi Spelling Bee. Brought to you by the Texas Speculative Fiction Association, a 501 (c)(3) organization. 100% volunteer-run. ~www.condfw.org
Comic artist Brian Stelfreeze and Jo Walton, science fiction/fantasy author, are in attendance in addition to many panels, led by other esteemed guests. Room parties, educational panels, book signings, and a dealer's room (where your's truly can be found) are just some of the things to do!
