Video of WorldCon 71 / LoneStarCon 3 Firefly Shindig

Feast your eyes! One of the highlights of the WorldCon/LoneStarCon was a recreation of the ball from the episode “Shindig.” Friday night, August 30th, there was a huge gathering in the main ball room and some folks were dressed to the nines. There a two ladies that were wearing beautiful gowns and I found out that this was their twentieth WorldCon. Man, that has got to be expensive! But, it is a great show, so well worth it.

Music was provided by Lissa Bengston and the Lost and Nameless Orchestra out of Austin. Lissa was the caller like you’d find at a square dance and this was very similar. The song is called “Russian Orange Dressing” and I’ve been trying to find a copy of it, because it is so Firefly. If any of you can place it, let me know.
